RSS Feed

What is a RSS Feed. Most will say it means "Really Simple Syndication". There is a huge amount of technical information that really doesn't change what the technology will do for you or change any oponions what it called. Leaving all the tech stuff and oponion out, we will try to keep it simple as possible.

What it does - As its name implies, the technology "feeds" information from its source to you, typically to your web browser. You choose what you subscribe to.

Example, -IF- you subscribe to Dr Cohen's RSS blog feed, every time he updates the blog you receive notification. You don't need to go there every day to see it has been updated, it's "feed" to you.

If you are using Windows with Internet Explorer (IE6,7, or 8) it is this simple. Click the RSS button above and you will see this. Then click on "Subscribe to the feed" Then click on "Subscribe", screen looks like this. To follow your RSS Feed, open your browser and follow here.

For additional oponions and a whole bunch of tech-talk, use your favorite Search Engine.
